JK1PSQ
I enjoyed this contest.
The 20m and 15m bands were open, but the 10m was difficult and the 6m
was unfortunately not audible with my equipment.
I was surprised that there was a time when it was open for 40 meters.
During this contest, there were times when I couldn't face the
walkie-talkie due to the effects of static.
I would definitely like to participate again next year.73.

I enjoyed the contest.

I enjoyed the contest.

K1UHF
My first digital contest on HF even though I am the designer of
the RIGblaster. I am part of the N4SVC SARC club, an amazing club
with the best station I have ever seen and a bunch of good guys.

K4KZM
K4KZM used a dipole with Palomar Balun on 20 meters and a Greyline
Performance - DX Flagpole which worked well only on 40 meters. The
Cabrillo generation of WSJT-x did not work and the file had to be
created manually. My first contest!

K8LF
Seemed like less stations on this year. I did not put in as
much effort. Less stations stuck asking for signal not in
contest mode. Conditions Saturday not that great. One more
contest in the season ARRL VHF.

SFCG Digi-Decibels

KB0V
My first digi contest, there are some subtle differences to get used to! But as always, fun.

KF0U
First contest I've played in a long time (years). I had a blast and look forward to the next one.

KH6WI
Operated from KH6YY contest station on the north shore of Oahu.

KI4LLA
This year did not make my goal of 100 contacts. The 15 meter band was open with limited contacts on
20 meters and no activity on 40 meters.

KI5IRE
Operated when not at work during the weekend.
Yaesu FT-710/TennTennas 160 ft. EFHW

KI6BTY
This was a lot of fun. After much frustration early on, especially the kind from a brand new
computer and having to install drivers, I was able to get into a good groove and put in 13 hours on
Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday. No joy from 80 or 160, but I did get some good DX out of this,
including some surprising contacts in Belgium and The Netherlands. I more than doubled my score
QSOs from last year (370 this year from 154 last year) and I'm pretty sure I was SO2R last year as
well. All-in-all a great weekend.

KM4PIH
Very little time to engage. Fun contest as always!

N0OEP
Portable operation w/Xiegu G-90 into ground spike vertical running 20 watts.

N0SUW
Worked five bands QRP with just indoor antennas--highlight was working
Honduras and Puerto Rico on 10m running 4w into a pair of indoor hamsticks!

N1KT
It was a nice contest. Used this contest for recharging in the quiet. Got away from XYL, turned
the volume off to not hear the digital. Only sound was the clicking of the mouse and maybe a bell or
two alert to remind me to log the contact. Worked wonders.

N4IW
I was ready on time for this one with WSJT-X fully integrated
with N1MM and started out pretty well. Soon thereafter, things
bogged down for me. Signals and propagation seemed weird. After
dinner things picked a bit but nothing too hot. I tried to work
the far away stations for the points but there were times when I
only heard close stations. So, I would alternate between working
far stations and working just whoever I could. Im sure I was
hampered by not having a directional antenna more than anything.
I did not stay up late but got up early Sunday morning and I had
a pretty cool run of Japanese stations and worked Australia and
the Philippines around dawn. It was a fun time and will certainly
do this one again. I chased Rick (NN4RB) and Ken (K4XL) on
Contest Online but could never get close.

Conditions not the best. Lots of terrible operators. Many ops would answer
me on my direct freq, and then procede to call CQ on the freq I was cqing on.
Based on conditions, in my humble opinion, many ops, both DX and domestic
were definitely running HP. I've been a ham for almost 50 years, DXing and
contesting for 30 of those years, and one learns how to read propagation
characteristics. I would bet my ham radio license that 20 to 30% of ops
I heard in my 5.5 hours in this comtest, were running HP. Many ops still
have no clue how to set up there station to operate digital via sound card
and rig processing! so much splatter at times. Digi is much more tame during
non-contest times. Yes, there are a couple bad apples even then, but a contest
brings out the worst lids when they haven't bothered to READ the simple directions
on how to operate their rigs and the digi software. OK, I'm down off my soapbox now.
73 Gene, N9TF. 100 watts to 6BTV ground mounted.

NX1K
First time in Digi contest.

Thanks to our PCs. Stormy Sunday, lost at least 3 hours of operating time. 88 Alena

Very nice contest. Hunting DX and no
wories about countries, continents or counties.
8 hour class makes it possible to stay at peace
during a busy family weekend.
PLEASE designate FT4 frequencies off the usual ones!

VE3WUE
I operated the VE3EID station located in Sprucedale, ON, Canada,
remotely. The station was operated from my home in Marlborough,
MA, USA.

VE7BGP
It was a wet rainy weekend on Vancouver Island so the Digital
Contest passed the tine by. 73 Gerry

VL2Y
My first ARRL digi. Running 90 Watts from a SunSDR2Dx with WSJT-x
to a 22m wire doublet up 8m. Ran for 8 hours during my Sunday.
Path to NA was open most of the time on 20m but flares kept
closing 15m so made very few QSOs to EU. Good activity although I
was surprised how few were using FT4 which can give nearly twice
the QSO rate of FT8. Thanks to all organisers and participants.

W1QK
for the VHF Contest happening the following weekend. Good
conditions on the higher bands very late after local sunset. A
number of stations never provided their grid, only a signal
report.
FT4!

W1UE
Operated a second station in the 8-hour category for ARRL IDC.

W4BZM
Limited in operating time by thunderstorms and other priorities.
I learned halfway through the contest that a new version of WSJT was
available which did not require interchange of signal reports, only
grid squares.

WA1FCN
My log program has the sequence numbers all mixed
up. I believe the total QSO count is ok tho. I felt
like a Newbie stumbling around most of Saturday.
It took many repeats to get some guys to send their
grid. I felt propagation was only fair.

Great experience with a ATNO 4 me :-)
