Comments:
AC1NO NH Rookie |
Tnx for the QSOs everyone. |
AD4TJ VA Non-Rookie |
Could only get on about 30 minutes. Heard little activity. Worked 2 Rookies and 2 non-Rookies. David AD4TJ FM08 Virginia Licensed 1988 |
KC4HW AL Rookie |
Just trying to work some Rookies today, but very few during the time that I operated. Thanks to all that gave me a QSO. |
KD2YJX NJ Rookie |
Thanks to all ops, conditions were tough, but it was great to see so many veterans running the whole contest, thanks so much for supporting this contest. I hope to see it grow in popularity. |
N3AML MD Rookie |
Band Conditions were tough but turned lemons of band conditons into lemonade and made the most of it. I wish the ARRL would promote the Rookie Roundup contests more to get more Amateurs both Rookies and Non Rookies to participate. I had fun as RTTY is one of my favorite modes. I hope Solar Cycle 25 really gets going next year and gives us better conditions so more amateurs participate. |
N4NTO NC Non-Rookie |
Very new to RTTY. Recently bought an IC-7610 and found that I could operate RTTY without computer interface, which I have been playing with. Came across Rookie Roundup RTTY and decided to give it a try. Glad I did! Not very many Qs, but very enjoyable. I have been missing out on RTTY since 1985! |
N5CET TX Rookie |
I had a great time although not as many participants as other contests. Lightning storms predicted for my area but never materialized. No one was using RTTY mode prior to the contest start, so had to workout set up issues on the first several contacts. Was mainly a chaser since non-rookies couldn't contact each other. I added "IM ROOKIE" to my CQ and became a runner for the last two hours. Band conditions up and down and almost no PSKREPORTER monitors made the contest challenging. Called CQ on 80m,15m,10m for 15 minutes each with no contacts. Most QSOs on 20m and finally 40m in the last hour. All contestants were very accommodating and some sent encouragement messages to close. Took photos of all my setup screens so I'll be ready to go next year. |
W3FR MD Rookie |
Forgot to add my club/team name. It's North East Maryland Amateur Radio Contest Society. Enjoyed the contest even through the tough band conditions today. |
