Really good propagation. Thanks to those that tried to assist me with audio issues during the

AC2YD
First time participant (my 10m vertical is just a few months
old!) ... thanks for everyone's good ears and antennas copying my
5-watt QRP sig from New Jersey! Unfortunately, I had very limited time this weekend to operate, but
I'm very happy with results; again thanks for the good ears! Is QSB always this crazy on 10m???
Here one moment, then gone the next!

AC4G
Both Saturday and Sunday morning band opened to Europe for a few
hours. Also, QSO'd some JA's, ZLs, and VKs, but did not seem
openings were very long. Surprised to QSO HZ and OY. Glad to
see 10m opened to the world. I always like working unassisted to
see what surprises I might work on the band. Thanks for the fun!

AD4GG
Had a lot of fun during this contest!
Hope to participate again next year.

AD4TT
What a great year for working DX during the contest but North America was hard to work from Florida.
Heard a lot from out west but never heard anyone from the 3, 4, 8, & 9 call areas. Propagation on
ten meters is always a mystery and that's what makes it fun. Welcome back ten meters.

AD4XT
Enjoyed this one with the good solar conditions.

10 Meters is better than it has been in several years. I was glad to run into a lot of old friends
in the contest.

AG5MS
I hadn't planned to participate in this contest, but observed some activity on 10M Friday - first
contact K5TR - and got inspired. I spent about 15 hours total, mostly Sunday. I'm very slow at
logging QSOs, but I have been getting some experience with using SkookumLogger - I am a dedicated
Mac OS user. Logged only 153 contacts - 65 US (about 45 states) and 88 Foreign contacts (mostly
Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Oceana and South America). All contacts were made using a
Cushcraft R-6000 6-band vertical and typically 200 W into the antenna. I'm new at contesting, but
I had some fun earning a few points for the Club.

AJ6T
I started off just making a casual S&P effort in this contest, mostly just
to see how Cycle 25 was improving 10m propagation. On Sunday I decided to see
how running would work out for me, and that was a lot of fun putting many more
QSOs in the log. I only worked a few Europeans, and they were not very deep
into the continent. Maybe the eastern Europeans will show up next year when the
solar flux is higher as Cycle 25 continues to mature. On Sunday night I worked
a couple of VKs and heard one JA and one YB. I was hoping there would be some
meteor scatter activity late in the evening but I did not hear any pings. The
timing was not very close to the peak of the Geminid shower this year. It was
nice to run into a few old buddies from the NCCC during pipeline conditions to
the west coast.

Magical ! 5 W and semi-finished antennas completed the QSO. A 3-6

during the debugging process, actually received a signal, ha ha,
action.

Operated one of the RIBs (Radio in a Box) located on an island in the
Bahamas remote over StarLink during this contest from my QTH in WV.
Unfortunately on my end, I experienced several Internet and laptop
issues here in WV which may have left some of my contacts scratching
their heads. Otherwise, the RIB solution operated flawlessly over
StarLink. The contest provided a very practical and effective
learning opportunity with George, AA7JV's RIB solution. This is a
game changer! Thank you for being part of the "experiment!" BTW,
looks like I worked all states and provinces EXCEPT WV!!!

ARRL10M from WRTC2022-land, JN54rr 12m asl.
I love THIS contest on 10M, as imho it is a good way to approach my other two interests: propagation
and antennas. So I set two goals, the FIRST was to get the data for a forthcoming (YouTube Channel:
I4MFA) report of a propagation study from WRTC2022-land; as my antenna system, a two elements quad
optimized on five bands on 70' tower, has a greater "gain" with respect to the 10m high yagi the
operators are going to use with their 100W transceivers, I set a "-13dB penalty" to me using 5W (QRP
transmitter). I have to thank N1MM for the program he freely distributes as I managed the whole
contest without shouting a word, running the program on my 10" 1024x576 XP Netbook positioned
out-of-range with respect to shack radio (in-sight, obviously) with a BT keyboard to log the
contacts. I have to thank SWS as the foF2 maps of REAL DATA (not VOACAP PREDICTED statistic info)
are really important to me in order to understand real propagation path and have S&P station
in-the-log asap. To achieve the goal in a useful way, I choose multiplier respect qso as my contest
strategy.
As you can see, to partecipate ARRL10M this way enjoyed me really much!
On saturday I got in the log eastern VK and a three hours opening to W/K land, collecting info I
hope to share in a proficient way; on sunday conditions were different, a JA/ZL and western VK
earlier opening and just two hours with the states; I had nearly zero contacts with Africa, and that
is unusual.
The second goal... we'll see the results to talk about that!

IK0OKY
Enjoyed it very much even if I had not so much free time to spend. As soon as the darkness reached
my area the 10 m propagation disappeared. Till the next! 73s to all de IK0OKY Emilio

Every QSO is appreciated.
Operating QRP & homebrew antenna was great fun,
but sometimes (often) frustrating...
CNDX was very very good both days.

K3CCR
K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and
W5MPB did Multi-Op HP in the 2022 ARRL 10 M test. N3UM got all
our CW Qs. W5MPB got all our SSB Qs. Our goal was to beat the
best Multi-Op ARRL 10 M claim in 5 years at K3CCR, 509 Qs and a
183 K score in 2020. It was fun to do that with 1.5X as many Q
pts in 1.1X the BIC hrs, 1.9X the total mults, and 2.9X the
score. SFI of 140 vs 82 in 2020 helped a LOT. At start we took
~30-50 min. turns on each mode, as worked well before. A CW run
00-0029Z got 40 Qs at 83/hr and 17 states; OH out to KS and TX,
likely E skip. SSB spot clicks 0030-0110Z got 17 Qs & 12 states,
KY out to MN. CW 0113-0206Z got 66 Qs, 52 in a run and 8 states,
DE and WV out to NE and SD. SSB at 0213Z got 12 Qs and 4 states,
GA to CA, then band died. At 0315Z QRT we had 135 Qs, 42 states,
and no DX mults. In daylight CW spot clicks 1325-1440Z got 65 EU
Qs and 29 DX mults + CO. SSB clicks 1449-1543Z got 34 Qs and 15
DX mults, 12 EU + 3 NA. After 16Z, Qs came from SA and W6/W7. By
1651Z CW got 14 Qs, 10 DX mults + NF & SK, then SSB got 21 Qs, 8
DX, & 6 St/Pv mults out to AZ & SK. From 17-24Z we took ~1 to 2
hr. turns and got 54 SSB Qs, 79 CW Qs, 17 DX mults & 41 St/Pv
mults. At 00Z we had 402 Qs and 166 total mults. On again 1317-
1445Z we got 110 CW Qs, 107 running EUs at 84/hr. After that,
rates slowed and mults were few; we took long turns. We got 81
SSB Qs in 3 hrs, then 110 CW Qs in 3.4 hrs, plus 20 St/Pv mults
& 32 DX mults in both modes by 2145Z. In breaks we got 11 Qs and
a few mults in the "other" mode. In 43 min till 2232Z QRT we
scraped up 7 SSB Qs. Got 48 US states on CW, all but SC and RI.

Enjoyed the Contest immensly, was just limited on available operating time. Not much of a DXer
historically so was quite suprised to get about 1/3 of the way to DXCC in 1 weekend, plus 6 of 7
towards WAC. Very pleased with the station performance of the IC-7300 to a 40" base-load CB
vertical mobile antenna on a flat metal roof, and looking forward to next time! Larry K4LES

George let me operate the contest at his place in Blanco County
again this year. This was my 20th time operating the ARRL 10
Meter Contest. I have not been operating much outside of my
annual effort in this event. Years when we have conditions like
this remind me of how wonderful the magic of radio is. You can
hear the world turning. You can even feel like you hear the
ionosphere almost breathing at times.

Conditions on Friday night started out slow but picked up with
some decent Eskip. I finished with almost half as many QSOs at
the end of the night as I worked in the entire contest last year.

I struggled at times on Saturday morning to get a good run going,
but finally found a productive frequency higher up the band. I
had one of those weird moments when a VE9 station operating
portable called in from British Columbia immediately followed
by a VE9 station in New Brunswick proper. Saturday night the
band basically died at sunset and I was still missing, of all
multipliers, Florida. Just as I was pondering this, though,
the band opened up to just Florida, and I worked a handful over
a couple of hours, but otherwise the band stayed closed.

Sunday morning was more productive for me, and I really enjoyed
the opening to Europe. I missed a few multipliers; probably the
most obvious were 9A, LA, SM, and OH. I only worked one CT
station, which seems odd given how many EA stations made it
into the log. In Asia, I never heard HL, BV, or BY. In W/VE,
I missed Wyoming, Yukon Territories, Northwest Territories,
Nunavut, and Labrador. Five XE states made it into the log,
which I think is more than most recent years. I never heard anyone
from HC, HK, or YV this year. My multiplier counts are definitely
down, but I beat my QSO total from 11 years ago, so that feels like
a win. I had fun.

Nice to be back in this contest after "a few" years of absence. Nice conditions--wall-to-wall
signals on CW and SSB.

K5XU
Lots of very good CW operators.

K5ZD
Casual multi-op with the guy who helped put up
the new 10m stack over the summer KA1YQC (now KW1X).
We had fun and loved how well the new antennas
seemed to work.

K6CSL
Met my objectives-100 QSO

K6FA
Been awhile since doing this contest. Had fun and got all states except WY. Hope they qsl via LoTW
so I can get my WAS-CW 10 meters which was my goal.

K6NA
Enjoyed my limited time in the contest. Great to hear big signals from all over North America,
South America, and East Asia. The European openings were only marginal here in SoCal, as we
experienced only short, mutual-daylight path openings. I worked only a handful of western- and
southern-European stations.
My antennas are a 5 element mono Yagi at 70ft high, and a 6 element mono Yagi at 147ft high on a
different tower.

K6NR
We were visiting our daughter and new grandson in Arizona, so I did not have
much time to operate. I got on for a few hours remotely with my station
in California and just called CQ. Amazing activity from the US and Japan,
many callers. Thanks to all for the QSOs. Dana

K6PUD
It was great to have the band back again! We can't wait to see what next year's conditions will
bring!

K6T
This was a wild reprisal of my use of the "K6T" callsign for the
10-meter contest, allowing me to run yet another triple-OP operation
from the SF East Bay (EB) section.
At other times, I was a mixed-mode OP for the NX6T GiG, while
also running WQ6X/QRP from time-to-time. The 1x1 callsign confused
some operators, so I had to send it carefully to reduce the confusion
level.
Overall, 10-meter conditions were AWEsome! Unfortunately, there was
a NASTY local noise source that was heavily noticeable every time the
3-element Long John yagi was pointed due-east. Luckily, the yagi
always finds a NW "pipeline" to W9--> W8--> W2--> W1, and later in
the day to JA.

Read all about this triple-OP exercise soon at: http://WQ6X.Blogspot.com

K6WK
It was good to receive signals from such a distance. However, it has a tendency to tie me to an
eleven year cycle. I'm eighty one... I think you get the drift.

K6ZH
Enjoyed working some very loud stations from the East Coast and the Midwest here on the West Coast!
Condx were good to JA, Pacific, and South America.

EU - not so much. Only worked a handful, even with the solar flux at 140 and a low A index.

BUT - "10 is back," it certainly was a treat!

K7AEZ
This is my second time in the ARRL 10 Meter Contest. Thanks to Chris at Buddipole for encouraging me
to enter this contest in 2021.

K7EA
Awesome . . . I love the ionosphere!

K7VIT
Just celebrated my 60th anniversary of being licensed. As they say, time flies
when you're having fun.

This was certainly not my best outing. I had a lot of noise. On the other hand,
it was quite a bit better than some of my efforts in 1962. :-))

The 10m Test has always been a special time for me.

Thank you to all who answered my calls.

73, Jerry

K8LF
Installing a tower this weekend so did not have any antennas up
for 10 meters. I did get on via remote station to make some
contacts. Only put in about an hour. I think conditions were
good.

KA6KEN
It is fun to have 10m open for the first time since I got back into ham radio several years ago.
It's like gaining a whole new band. I haven't seen conditions like this since March when I played
around on 10m in the ARRL DX and 10m South American contests. I only played for three hours
Saturday and a few minutes on Sunday, but conditions were amazing (for a guy who has never heard
much but static on 10m). I did all search and pounce; no running. I heard a lot of Brazilian
stations. I was also hearing a disproportionate number of Minnesota stations and wondered if there
was a duct from CA to MN so I commented to my third MN contact that I was hearing a lot of people
from his state and he responded by saying that 90% of his log was California stations. FUN!

KA7RRA
I had a great time in the 10 meter contest this year!!! the 10 meter band was open I bought me the
new radio "The Yaesu FTDX101MP",and the day before the contest I got the book by ZL3DW for that
radio

I got the radio up and working made some settings, adjustments and I'm still learning on how to set
the radio up. I like the touch screen, and dual VFOs

For some reason, in my feeble mine, I thought the 48 hour contest was over my time at 3:59 UTC on
Saturday PST..

I made 130 contacts for a score of 10,140 points and I'm happy with that

I also worked 8 countries for DX points, and 28 states, and Japan. Mexico and Canada

KB0V
No time for this one, unfortunately, other than snagging a couple new ones on CW.

A ADIF TO CABRILLO CONVERTER PROGRAM ON THIS SITE WOULD BE NICE SO WE DONT
HAVE TO TYPE THE LOG IN FOR ACCEPTENCE.

KC1BB
No real openings to EU, JA or OC from AZ. Then a feed line
failed at 22:00 on Sunday (didn't really impact the score).
Still had respectable showing.

KC1RET
First time in the contest. Looking forward to good solar cycle
propagation!

I got my Tech license in June, but had not gotten on the air. I decided to try the ARRL 10 meter
contest. My very first contact ever and my first contest Q was
F4ARU ! I look forward to upgrading my license and more operating.

10 meters is always a fun band to work and it proved to be pretty
active. First, my apologies to my fellow FCG'ers. Heard a couple
of OJs and failed to reply appropriately. I'll get it one day.

FT-991A into attic-mounted AEA Isoloop: I didn't expect much from my poorly situated home station
(normally do hilltop contesting). But 1 hunt-&-pounce SSB contact turned into 10 and then 50,
finally 116 in 2 sessions. Wow. I hope this is a sign of things to come as cycle 25 progresses.

For my fixed station, I used my shack, but I do not have antennas erected. I used a Hustler 10M
magmount on my pickup truck, with the 1000 Watt coil, and it worked swimmingly.

Only 6 hours this year, but I hope to try the entire contest next year, again with a gallon running
to a mobile antenna.

It was fun, but short.

Wow! A whole weekend full of 10m activity! It turned out to be
a great opportunity to figure out where the RFI is coming from.
At worst, S6 noise would obscure all but the strongest stations,
but there were times when the noise was only S3 or S4, and all
the RFI would go on and off periodically. For a long time I have
suspected the vairable speed fans in the heat pumps around me.
That was confirmed. It turned out that my own system was putting
out at the S3 or S4 noise. I was able to figure out that my
neighbor's system is the really noisy one. In the end, I won't
be asking anyone to turn off their heat or get something done
about their HVAC. Thanks to a test 10m antenna that I put nearer
the back of the lot, I found that the noise is significan't
better as you get away from the houses, so it looks like an
antenna could be the solution.

KM0F
It was fun. Wish I had mor time on air.

KM8Q
First 10-meter contest for KM8Q! Big thanks to Ken, W8ASA, for
jumping into the fun again. As always, we had a great time and
thanks to everyone for their patience. So many excellent signals
and operators. Well Done...

KN4UQM
I made a mistake by putting the DX region as the "number". I did this for about 22 countries before
I corrected myself. I seek forgiveness and grace... It is my first time.

KN6LZT
First contest! Though I was only at it for about 1.5 hrs I was very excited to reach TI1K and VE4VT
who were my furthest QSOs yet and it was during a pile up. Thanks all, this was fun. 73

KN6MGJ
First Contest, I operated a Yaesu FT-818ND running 5 watts with a 10m
wire dipole antenna about 18' in the air. The dipole SWR at 28.400 MHz
was around 1.6 but I used an LDG Z817 tuner to get it to about 1.25
for the contest. I have a 2-year-old daughter at home so I didn't get
much more than an hour or two each day to operate the radio but it was
still a ton of fun!

Super fun contest even with storm weather in the region. Erected a
band-tuned dipole for this event and erected it and saw some great
success for the QSO's I made. A number of personal firsts and I
enjoyed the time. Glad to take part in this.

KN7A
I recently graduated from the CWops Academy and am working CW exclusively (CWops #3063). The band
was cooperative and nicely quiet! I'm working on 5B WAS and nearly filled the 10m band in this
contest. Looking forward to the next CW contest!

Busy season of the year, but time can be made for contesting! Debbie KC9ULA got a little taste of
10 meter contesting! We alternated between a cobweb antenna 10 feet off the ground and a ground

For the info of the FT8 haters 10 meters has been open since

It's great to see 10m open again, though of course from up here
propagation was pretty selective - I worked more guys in MN I
think than anywhere else! As always happens with this contest,
pre-holidays activities conflicted a bit, but still managed to
get in a few hours. Thanks for all the Q's!

Conditions far better than in 2021. Nice to see F2 on 10. I operated "fixed mobile" CW from our land
north of Lawrence in Jefferson County. The initial plan was to use a 3 element yagi -- but didn't
get it up due to inclement weather and caring for special needs grandchild. NO electrical noise at
all at the site. Very quiet. 10 was busy and between F2 and backscatter the band was full. It was
freezing Sunday morning with the trees covered with ice.

Open to Europe - yea! But slim pickings. Logged M2G, MM1E, PIØCOM TM6M, EI7M, EA7X, and CT9ABO for
WAC. Filled in some DX including some Hawaiians, CO8NMN, PJ4LL, CX5A, HK1MW, etc. Interesting to
hear the F2 skip zone. Maine, NH, RI, VY2 were in it loud to eastern Kansas, just west NY, CT, and
NJ were heard only via backscatter. Backscatter was workable at times, even with my limited set up.
I logged K5DB AR, K0SN MN, W0BH KS, N8OO LA, WD0T SD, K5PI TX, etc. Found EA8OM up around 28.100
MHz all alone calling CQ without any callers. One call and in the log! Operated again Sunday
afternoon around 4 pm. Worked a few JA stations, VK, CX, LU and stateside. That was it. All
contacts were "hand-made CW." Used a hand key and logged on paper.

N0KIS
I went to the field to experiment with a couple of wire antenna's. The 10 meter contest was fun to
dabble with while experimenting with a 5/8 wavelength ground-mounted vertical and a dipole at 35
feet. I didn't hear much difference between the two antennas. For this contest, I think the
vertical might be the winner because of the single support (tree) setup. The dipole needed two
trees. The rig was an IC-703+. The tuner was an Icom AH-4. The battery was an 18 Amp-hour AGM.

Not a lot of time available, but this will be a special one for me anyway.

First and last few contacts S&P. Things were active but there was plenty of
room to call CQ so I did, first time running in a cw contest. S&P at the end
once my time ran out and my running rate had essentially stopped, but running
was the focus, awesome experience.

Running went very well, year of daily practice paid off, had an absolute blast.

10M provided a nice schedule of openings this weekend ! What a great way to get back into contesting

with the short air time, was still fun to see how many stations I
could work with QRP/CW. Had multiple QSOs with AZ, CO and UT.

Had a fantastic time in the contest and enjoyed making all the global contacts, will certainly do it
again. The band conditions were great from Russia to South America and Australia no problems at all,
even worked several QRP stations to include a station from Colorado that was using 100 mw and was a
real 58 in Virginia.

Thanks for sponsoring this event.

I used my balcony horizontal, extended Hustler mobile antenna with a 15m resonator attached to it
with shortened stinger that had two SWR dips, one of which landed at 28.1 MHz with an SWR of 1.1. It
worked great! Only a small handful of stations I called (using S & P) could not hear me.

My furthest contacts included much of the East Coast, Brazil, Hawaii and Alaska.

This is the second time I've ever worked 10-meter CW, the first time being the California QSP Party
last October 2, during which I made 53 (of 497) CW contacts on 10 meters using that same antenna.

N6JSO
Operated from my Jeep - also a POTA activation of K-3475. Propagation over the Pacific was great
from the beach.

Nice to see Solar Flux above 140 for this contest. Rain static and

N7MZW
Icom IC-7300, Heil Pro Micro Headset, and a ZS6BKW flattop up 50 feet, running N-S. Limited Op time
and multiple computer crashes during some good runs really hurt my score. Was happy to work India,
but 5 Land was dead to me. The band went dead abruptly on Saturday evening, but I still had some
great runs Saturday and Sunday with my single wire antenna and 100 watts. Thanks to all who worked
me! November Seven Many Zebras Walking.

Excellent propagation conditions from SFL this year. Able to work many parts
of EU and SA plus most of US & Canada and HI and AK. On Saturday, 10m was active
till well after sunset. My score was the best I've had in the past 10 years.
Best DX for me was P3X in Cyprus. Xcvr: KX3 @ 5w plus PX3.

Well that was fun! It's been too long a while since there has been
this much activity on 10m for this contest. Very glad I was able to

some scatter Friday night and Sunday to help get some state pick ups
for 10m WAS in TN. Starting all over again can be fun! The 6BTV played
well as expected with low power and only a few radials. Kept me in the

ground, I used it this way to work the contest. It was a cloud warmer BUT IT WORKED! Ya gotta do
what ya gotta do!! 73, Bob, NF7E

I had fun... once again. Didn't hear much from Europe or Asia. I
really need another Yagi. Next year!

Excellent conditions - especially Sunday. Had trouble with my LAN disconnecting in the middle of
QSOs - my apologies to all who wondered where I went. The RemoteHamRadio station in Eastport, Maine
worked fantastic and is waaay better than my ability. But is was a ton of fun running for a bit on
Sunday. Got my pile-up fix Ha Ha. Thanks for all the Q's. Happy Holidays!

I think this was my mys first "serious" ARRL 10m contest..
Expectations were high but the conditions were a small
disappointment. The openings to JA and USA were short and
weak both days and the band closed early.. On Sunday
afternoon there was a kind of aurora opening to the U.S.
but not many stations could hear me.
Thanks for the QSOs!

Having just fun on this great single band contest! Daylight here in Scandinavia now about 5 hours 15

but not even single North America station, even the distance from here is about only 6000km.

Using a FTdx3000 with an AIRSPY HF+ connected at the FTdx3000 RF OUT, feeding N1MM Spectrum Window
worked very well indeed. Antenna 2x16m doublet / 12m open feeders.

it was a nice contest.

Nice change in propagation compared to the last few years, although
Sunday morning (eastern VK) was a bit dry. Propagation within EU

working each other but they couldn't hear me over their local QRM.
Some highlights: working LU (hadn't done that on 10m in a few
years), JT, 9H and 9N! Thanks to the contest managers for yet again

I wasn't sure how this would work but a recent lightning storm took out all my antennas. I had a

Lots of fun in this one. My first 10M contest, conditions were awesome. I almost never hit a
doldrum of no new stations to work during the daylight hours, and even made some surprise contacts
after dark here when I checked in on Friday evening.

I bit the bullet and put myself out there to call CQ on CW for the first time ever, and felt like I
was mostly successful despite mangling a few exchanges. Thanks to anyone who worked me at 13-15WPM
and gave corrections/slowed down.

My goal was to top 100k of Friday, then Saturday it became 150k, and Sunday 200k. Final score
recorded was 209,338. Chasing the online scoreboard was a blast and after going to bed in 50's
Saturday night and waking to 68th after sleeping in a bit, was able to climb back up into the top 50
during the last half hour of the test. XV1X and VR2XAN were nice surprise multipliers during the
final 7 (!) minutes of the test, as well as AL1G on Phone which gave me a new mult in the final
hour.

After reading everything that I could find about the proper format for the qso entry in CAbrillo
format. I find that not enough information is provided.

I could not find anywhere that explained the line by line syntax required for each qso in cabrillo
format. this took a long time by trial and error to submit this log. using the recommended tools
even yielded errors. I think we can do better.

at least have a format example for this contest. thank you Mark Williams W8YA.

I particularly enjoyed the contest this year. I wanted to prove that contacts could be made using
just 5 watts and a 1/4 wave ground plane. Also band conditions on 10 meters were very good. Rig was
Yaesu FT-818ND and my antenna was a Larsen mag mount on a 12" x 12" metal drawer insert with an NMO
QBase to which I attached a 1/4 wave wire. The ground plane was the reinforced concrete on the floor
of my terrace. No tuner or balun used.

WA2CNV
Had fun and more than doubled my totals from 2021!

WA2VIU
During daylight, band was popping. Aside from DX, worked Hawaii and Oklahoma twice and North Dakota
once. What more could you ask? Best thing about single band contests is you know where everybody is.
Otherwise there is always the fear of missing out (FOMO). If I'm on 20, maybe there is more activity
on 40, better retune; or maybe 15 has more DX that I'm missing, etc. Drive yourself crazy. In the 10
and 160 meter contests, there is total peace of mind.

I didn't go all in but I may as have. By the second day, I was in to it and having fun..
Did mostly Run. Took breaks and didn't care if it was less than a full hour. I wasn't going to be
on the air for 36 hours anyway, so who cares. I don't have a competitive station on ten meters. But
I had fun and the propagation was interesting.
Unlike 20 meter, 10 meters closed with in an hour after sunset and it didn't fully open for at least
30-45 minutes after sunrise. With Europe going dark 5 hours ahead of me, there wasn't enough time
to build a really big Run score. But I did my best to find a frequency and Run.

I enjoyed this contest a lot running QRP. We were fortunate enough to
have a decent Sporadic-E opening right at the beginning of the contest
yielding three dozen contacts. Europe proved to be a challenge the
next two days in the morning, but we managed to get a fair number,
including a few on SSB. I believe that this is the first contest in
which I heard the same DX station (KP4/KO1A) via two different
propagation modes - Es one day (Friday night) and via F2 the next day
(Saturday afternoon).

Had a GREAT time! My first ARRL 10 Meter contest. Signals were great and lots of stations heard.
Cant beat it for antenna minimum antenna requirement, 16 ft long dipole at 16 ft up. Ohio had mild
temps for last minute outside antenna work. Now that we are moving toward the peak of this solar
cycle, 10 meters is really hopping! Looking forward to next year and improving on my score. Thanks
ARRL for another fun and exciting contest!

I had fun and was fairly successful. I used higher power to help
myself with
pile-ups and also my simple dipole wire antenna. Thanks for this nice
opportunity to get on the ten meter band. I was quite happy that the
band became wide open this year - for a welcome improvement air-wave
(sun spot cycle)change.

This was a wild reprisal of my use of the "K6T" callsign for the
10-meter contest, allowing me to run yet another triple-OP operation
from the SF East Bay (EB) section. This was WQ6X's 3rd QRP contest.
At other times, I was a mixed-mode OP for the NX6T GiG, while running
K6T as a low power entry.
Overall, 10-meter conditions were AWEsome! Unfortunately, there was
a NASTY local noise source that was heavily noticeable every time the
3-element Long John yagi was pointed due-east. Luckily, the yagi always
finds a NW "pipeline" to W9--> W8--> W2--> W1, and later in
the day to JA.
I am consistently amazed at how well a Yaesu FT-2000 run at 5-watts into
a Hy-Gain 3-el monoband yagi can do on 10-meters.
Having goo Space-WX conditions the entire weekend made QUITE a difference.

Read all about this triple-OP exercise soon at: http://WQ6X.Blogspot.com

This is my first contest, hope i didnt mess up much.

This was an exhilerating contest, search n pouncing everything i could hear. I was just using a
couple of 11m firesticks 10ft off the ground, rretuned to 10m aand was very surprised at how well i
did with them.

time to get a decent 10m antenna i think

Waohhhhh I had a lot of fun at my first official ARRL contest. I made all my contacts by hand and
then a great friend YV5RAB Tony helped me digitize them. I thank the American Radio Relay League
(ARRL) for promoting these challenges. They will see me more often in all of them.

Pile-Ups on both days and poor conditions on Sunday
made it difficult to copy reports at times especially
from EU countries. It was definately a challenge under
those conditions. However, the contest was enjoyable.
