After the CQWW last November my plan was to fabricate and prepare my 5 element 10m Yagi for the
preparation for ARRL 10m Contest last weekend of November my Homebrew 5 element 10m was tuned and
install I put it on 72ft or22 to 23m high in height and was very happy for the performance.
In my experience ARRL 10m contest is the most challenging contest , As we all know we relay to the
HF 10m band condition in daytime but in an actual activity with the solar atmospheric noise or high
noise level in an urban area is a ham radio operators enemy. Even Though the ARRL 10-Meter Contest
2023 Propagation is Up & Down in the Pacific (daylight area of Earth) is suffering a radio
degradation on HF frequencies on the 1st day 9 of December - Maximum X-ray Flux of M5.4 (R2-level
radio blackout). But Day 2 the 10 of December is Amazing 😊 I am thankful to all participants all
over the world and got the chance to test my antenna Homebrew Yagi 5 Element OWA and its behavior.

Limited Antenna category: a single 88 ft doublet (center-fed
wire via ladder line) up near 40 ft high.

I was only able to participate on Sunday after sustaining a foot injury on Friday, hours before the
contest started. So, I later decided to try the new Limited Antenna overlay category using just 5
watts output to my 88 ft multi-band doublet (up about 40 ft high between two trees) entering as
"Single Operator Unlimited, CW Only, QRP".

Had good fun making 175 QSOs over just 6+ hours of on-air time with 5 watts and a wire! Almost all
contacts were made through the 'Search and Pounce' method, seeking out primarily the big signals on
the band. Band conditions were not as good as last year nor like during the peak of the last Solar
Cycle. Overall, I managed QSOs with 35 states/provinces and 37 DXCC including KH6, KL7; ten
Caribbean/South American entities and 25 different EU DXCC.

Sixty Europeans were worked but no Asia, Africa or even Zone 16 stations were logged, and just one
Zone 20 QSO was made (LZ-Bulgaria). Once North America signals come way up it's certainly easier to
work the many of them for the same QSO point value as the rest of the world.

This is *always* a fun contest close to the time of Solar Cycle peak!

ARRL10 is a tradition in CW5W. After 6 years, we do it again. Some friends could not make the long
800 km trip to participate, but finally Carlos CX5CBA, Wilder CX6DRA and Pablo CX7ACH were able to
come and thus meet us again in El Mangrullo. The contest was very entertaining, good conditions with
Europe, Asia and the USA. Sunday as usual a little slower.
We shared a nice weekend riding horses, fishing, assembling a homemade antenna to show my little son
how to make communications while passing the ISS. And of course there was no shortage of food, good
"asados"on Friday and Sunday at the end of the contest. See you next year!

Hello
I worked the contest from TWO different locations, that is: from my house and from a country house
(5km), with the intention of testing the remote that I am setting up at home with a Flex-6300.
In the field I have a Carolina Windom antenna and a Kembood TS-590S. My intention was to try SO2R,
but it couldn't be.
The remote did not work well for me, internet and radio frequency problems, so I had to give up and
work with one location indistinctly, and I say indistinctly because when moving the database, on one
occasion I forgot to copy it to the new location and I think I have repeated serial numbers, so I
want you to keep that in mind, that you will find errors in the numbers sent, although they match
the ones sent correctly.
I hope you understand and I sincerely apologize for any problems this may cause.
Sorry
Greetings from EA2AZ

My intention of a half serious attempt was scuppered when our 4 year old granddaughter announced she
wanted to come back with us for a sleepover on Friday night. She was returned to Chester on Saturday
afternoon so left me with Sunday in the shack. Other reports suggest I got lucky with the better
day.

Slow S&P with lots of Russians at the start just after 1000z with the flood gates opening for East
coast US at their sunrise, eventually spreading westwards. South America was sparse and
disappointing and I found precious little short skip. There were a couple other GWs on but I was
kept very busy in the late afternoon; DXlog tells me my best hour was 131 between 1600/1700z which
considering how I struggle copying calls in cluster pile-ups first time is good. Nice to be called
by VP8NO, I was unable to crack the US pile-up for ZD7BG. North America apparently comprised 82% of
my QSOs. My contest ended in a real cliff edge, going from running to no S&P responses in around
half and hour. Last contact was EI0W across the water for a final mult just before 1730z.

Very difficult to copy number info, few operators are using letters to replace numbers and where I
can info abouth the value of the letters , ARRL don't have any info , you can find some mistakes
because I'm not aware of this situation . My 10 meters antenna is a 5/8 wave vertical abouth six
feet above ground, the amability of the contest people is going away, let me express my gratitude
for your efforts, 73s

Perhaps the adverse conditions that the band presented throughout the weekend discouraged many from
spending more time on the air. However, the contest was very fun and the experience left me with
many things learned, 1079 QSO's and 169 multipliers. I love contest and I love Liga Radio Bogota

Second time for me, a little better but propagation didn't help

I4MFA   [photo/doc]
As I did on previous ARRL10M (2022), I spent most of the time of the contest on a study on
propagation, getting real time foF2 maps and using them in order to get a "next-hour" prediction of
path opening, based on the compare of latest maps. A contest is "laso" a great moment to do such
kind of study, in my opinion. At 19UTC on saturday foF2 had a large peak at 14MHz over central US,
with a >12MHz cloud all over the states: I bet all CA got NH and all FL got WA with great
satisfaction. To make PHONE, non computer-FT8, QSOs at 28.7 and up, it's GREAT. In a few words, I
love this contest!

Very limited BIC time this year due to multiple family
commitments. 100% S&P mainly to give out some points late in the
contest and perhaps get a few DXCC band fills. There were plenty
of loud stations but the rare DX stations, and the inevitable
pileups, were quite difficult to break with "100w and a wire".

K3CCR
K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and
W5MPB did Multi-Op HP in the 2023 ARRL 10 M test. N3UM got all
our CW Qs. W5MPB got all our SSB Qs. We hoped to beat our best-
ever result; 772 Qs and a 641.5 K score claim, in 2022. We did
that; 1.18 X the Q pts and 1.03 X the total mults, for 1.2 X the
score. SFI was ~the same. At 00Z start, it was like a VHF test
with no E skip. In 1.5 hrs N3UM got 59 CW Qs in DC & 7 states,
all LOS. W5MPB had to come late, & got just 2 SSB Qs, MD & VA.
At 0201Z QRT, 61 Qs & 10 mults, vs 135 Qs & 42 mults at 0315 QRT
in 2022. Daytime much better. N3UM 1240-1410Z ran for 87 of 96
CW Qs and 28 Ctys in 90 min, near all EUs. W5MPB 1413-1522Z got
51 EU Qs & 29 Ctys in 69 min. N3UM 1530-1618Z got 44 NA Qs and
13 St/Pv out to CA. W5MPB 1651-1753Z got 55 NA Qs & 17 St/Pv out
to WA. At 1753Z we had 307 Qs, 46 St/Pv, and 85 of our final 119
Ctys. N3UM 1814-2021Z got 72 CW Qs & 21 St/Pv, DE to WY & HI.
From 2031-2230Z W5MPB got 70 Qs + AK HI RI & 3 more. N3UM 2246-
2318Z got 16 NA & SA Qs + ID, then rate died. Back on 1251-1435Z
N3UM ran for 134 Qs at 77/hr, 95% EU. W5MPB 1443-1757Z ran for
32 of 103 Qs; many EU till ~1615Z, then NA & SA. N3UM ran for 79
NA Qs 1824-1922Z. In our last 3.6 hrs 1924-2301Z we swapped
modes after 4 to 24 Qs as band maps cleared, for 52 CW and 47
SSB Qs, + 7 more Ctys incl. JA & VK, and 10 St/PVs incl. 5 XEs.

Had lots of fun on this one, even though running 100W to a 40m
EFHW up 12 feet. Had an issue with an N1MM setting that kept me
from doing much on SSB, but CW was more productive anyway. Total
of ~8 hrs between the two days.

Enjoyed the contest. Not only did I do Unassisted QRP, I did it Portable....there is a world of
difference between a portable op such as myself running 5 watts to a 102" whip on a piece of screen
wire from Lowe's as a counterpoise on beach of a lake, vs a at home station with a large antenna
array. I guess I'm suggesting there should be a Portable category, just as in the upcoming North
Carolina QSO Party in Feb 2024. Anyway, it was hard work but fun...just a radio, key, clipboard and
a CupaJoe.
-Please consider adding a Portable category to level the playing field.

It is hard to imagine it, but I have now operated this contest 21 times from the K5TR hilltop
station in Blanco County.
I am grateful that George continues to let me guest operate in this contest, even though I have
basically stopped operating
in any other contests. My weekends are mostly taken up nowadays with Boy Scout campouts,
orienteering meets, school
activities, and the occasional road running race. I show up at the radio station feeling like I
might have forgotten
everything and there will be some embarassing failure on my part, but somehow it all works out.

Friday night started out with an acceptable first hour, but we never developed any Eskip here in
central Texas, so the
remainder of the evening was quite slow. At one point, I heard some South Americans on backscatter
when I was on an
antenna pointed more or less due west, but I couldn't get their attention. Looking at my rate sheet
from last year
was a little discouraging, as I ended up almost 300 QSOs behind my Friday night totals from last
year.

Saturday morning was quite good, though, with a very solid opening to Europe. A nice surprise was
working VR2 on the
long path (I would hear him again on the same path on Sunday morning) just before the first
Europeans made it into my log.
My rate peaked just over 200 QSOs per hour, which is always fun. My hour totals stayed over 100
QSOs for nine hours in
a row. The skip felt really long the whole weekend, though. Many, many more New Englanders made it
into my long than
Midwesterners. Usually, states like Ohio and Michigan are responsible for more contacts, but this
year they were outpaced
dramatically by New York, New Jersey, and the New England states. In the other direction, I worked
proportionally far
more stations in British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon than the states closer to me. In fact, by
the end of the
contest, I had worked almost four times as many stations in Idaho as I did in Colorado! The really
amazing part of the
propagation, though, was that I had well over 1,000 contacts in the log before I worked my first
station in Illinois!
I picked up my last three states (Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah) in the final hour the band was
really open. Like Friday
night, there was no widespread Eskip again, but I did manage to work my first XE station in the 0200
hour. By the end of
the day, I was very close to my Saturday evening QSOs total from last year, and that made me feel a
little better.

I am training for my seventh marathon in early March, so I woke up really early to get out for a
long run before the
band opened on Sunday morning. I ran up and down the country lanes around the K5TR station with a
headlamp in the dark
for 135 minutes and never saw another person or moving vehicle. There was no moon out, so it was
really dark and still
and cold (5C cooling down to 2C by daybreak). I finished before sunrise and got a nice view of the
crescent moon just
coming up over the horizon in that early pre-dawn glow.

Sunday was great to Europe again, and I managed to pick up most of the obvious multipliers that
failed to make it into
the log on Saturday. I worked a few more African multipliers, which was great, and a station in
Quebec playfully gave
me a "five ten" signal report, which perked me up a bit. I only had five hours over 100 QSOs on
Sunday. I think the band
may have closed a little bit earlier, plus there is always the effect of running out of stations you
haven't already
worked before. Although I did work some more Japanese and Southeast Asian stations in the final
hours, I didn't pick up
any new multipliers in that direction. I keep thinking that someday we will surely have thousands
of Chinese stations
on the air, but it never happens. Disappointingly, I never heard a Korean station on the air this
year. This is
the second year in a row when there was propagation to that part of the world that Korea has not
made it into my log.
The only Canadian multipliers I missed this year were Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories,
Nunavut, and Labrador,
which are all understandable, I think. The only other missing multiplier that stands out to me is
Venezuela, and it
is the second year in a row without a station from Venezuela in the log.

I really appreciate George putting up with me operating again, despite my lack of regular operating
to keep me sharp.
It is a fantastic station, and clearly responsible for most of the result.

Great to hear 10 meters so busy! Lots of fun.

Conditions were generally good, although the openings to Europe were
not as strong and broad as they have been on occasion. I had several
family things going on during the weekend but managed 7 hours of
operating, mostly CQing. Friday evening after the band started to go
I was only able to hear/work folks, including thise to the east
with my antenna pointed southwest.

Thanks to all for the QSOs. 73, Dana

Rig: Elecraft K4/KPA1500 to 5 element yagi at 48 ft.

K6RE
Thanks to this solar cycle I finally got to work many Europeans from California during this 10m
contest, as well as more in Asia than usual. Nice to see the many South American, Caribbean and
Canadian stations. And a big thanks to the usual few from Africa and the South Pacific. Stateside
needs a better showing from CO, DE, MT, NM, UT, WY, WV! Surprisingly with 1.5kW into a single
omni-directional 5/8-wave vertical I consistently busted through pileups.

K6WK
This contest afforded me to make some very nice dx contacts. Even the small number of contacts did
not mean less fun...this was a fun and happy contest. Thanks to the organizers. Michael, K6WK.

Condx were pretty good here in the PNW. Thanks K7SS for the coaching! first time in the 10m contest
in 46 yrs QRV, was a blast. Saw that single element overlay and had to make an effort (since that's
all I have :) ). Thanks to everyone for all of the Q's! Merry Christmas to all!!

K8LF
I was hoping for a really good 10M contest this year but
conditions were not great. Saturday okay but not great. The
band always closed too early and Europe never stayed open long
enough. One thing weird was the directions of signals was off.
Often I found pointing the beam at a station actually lowered the
signal. I made great use of the StepIR 180 degree button.

KB0L
I attempted to upload my log right after the contest, but the upload page wouldn't accept my
information so I gave up. Now I get an email telling me that I submitted it after the deadline. I
only wanted to submit it so the stations I worked would get credit. I don't ever have trouble like
that with CQ contest submissions. Bernie KBØL

KB0V
Not the best of conditions, but lots of participation was good.

KB8TYJ
Band conditions were better on Saturday, and Sunday was a bit disappointing. But, the contest was
fun anyway. It's good to see 10 meters active again.

KC0DMF
I really enjoy participating in this contest. It was a fun band with all of the activity.

It was fun to use my new antenna (Cushcraft D3). It worked great given the compromised space.

KC4LZN
Had fun with what little time I had in the chair. Saturday wasn't
as good as Sunday. Heard D4C but they had such a pileup, just
couldn't bust through that wall.Did get a couple VK's. Fun just
the same. Off to the next one!

KC7HF   [photo/doc]
After reviewing the competition rules, I decided to try to qualify for the Limited Antenna overlay
with a new array assembled specifically for this Contest. Built a 10M version of the Hentenna Loop
mainly out of parts on-hand in my junkbox and aluminum tubing salvaged from a couple of scrapped
triband beams. Supported on a 37 ft push-up fiberglass mast, the antenna seemed to perform as least
as well as a rotatable dipole at similar height. Always fun to start contest preparations in your
workshop cutting and measuring aluminum and wire!

KC9EE
I had considered untangling the wires I have thrown up in the trees to see if I could lower to below
50ft to qualify for the limited antennas overlay. The amplifier appears to favor the current random
weaving of wires so I left it alone.
Goal was to make a 1000Qs and/or break 500K. That should be beatable next year but now I'm thinking
this might be a good one to operate from PJ7EE, especially since it appears there was no CW activity
from there.
I still find the online score board a great incentive. I'm sure KQ4R and AA5JF had no idea I was
chasing them for most of the weekend. One nuance about the scoreboard I wish could be remedy is the
ability to monitor if not posting to the score board.
I consider this very poor sportsmanship.

Best 73 all,

Gary KC9EE

First participation in an ARRL contest all on my own. Had a blast and used this opportunity to learn
a lot about my setup. I'm intrigued by my antenna setup's ability to make 10-meter contacts via FT8
all over the country, but for SSB I could only hear the coasts calling. Might have to look at adding
some antennas for a better score next year!

I had some aluminum tubing available so built a lightweight 2 element yagi and put it up on a 30ft

contacts with close in stations using back scatter propagation.

Conditions certainly change. For me, this year's ARRL 10 Meter contest was nowhere near as pleasant
as 2022. I've been way too busy between work and home life, so not as much motivation to spend the
entire weekend sitting in the chair. I didn't get started until Saturday afternoon. Put a few hours
in and then tried to make an effort Sunday. Still, spent most of the time S&P. Couldn't get any
traction for runs. From my locale in Southwestern Michigan, I had a pipeline to CA/WA/OR and western
VE territories. I struggled to work the southeast and the rest of the Midwest. Hopefully better
conditions, less stress, and more motivation as the contest season continues. Thank you everyone for
the Qs.

Season's greetings and '73 to all,

managed to get some QSOs with Argentina and one from Costa Rica. Maybe
next Summer a 10 meter GP will sprout up on my rooftop antenna farm

results and my first score to break out of the triple digits. 73 to

First, a heartfelt thanks to everyone that worked me this weeknd. I used my QRP radio x6100 this
weeknd along with two antennas, a JPC-7 verticle, and a homemade Moxon antenna that I built the past
two months. The Moxon did better than I thought but occasionally got caught in my lines hosting it
up in the trees. Begin able to rotate it towards prospective stations was huge and had the desired
result. I had a great time this weekend and I will likely do this again next December.73!

I apologize for the numerous attempts to submit my log. Failure of one computer and use of a second

least! I enjoyed the time spent in operating in this contest and will look forward to trying again
soon.

Contest got off to a weird start when I discovered, about a half hour in, that due to a power outage
and a dead CMOS battery in my PC, my clock was about 30 hours off. Plus behaving weirdly. So I had
to make some educated guesses about the QSO times for my first 15 or so QSO's. Still loads of fun,
great having all that propagation. Thanks for the Q's!

Another ARRL contest!, I had envisioned surpassing last year's score, as in every contest, which
amounted to 1645 QSOs and 92 multipliers, placing me second internationally in my category, just
behind KP2M with 2006 contacts and 127 multipliers. To achieve this, meticulous study of propagation
hours for the 10-meter band in each global zone with a significant number of stations (USA, EUROPE,
and JAPAN) was imperative.

An enhancement I had to implement was the ongoing use of a second keyboard for SO2V
operation—constantly calling on one frequency and searching for multipliers and stations with the
second keyboard. This strategy yielded an additional 238 contacts, representing an increase of over
15%.

Propagation conditions were not as stable as in previous years. Europe opened late with weak signals
and minimal participation, especially from Germany—one of the powerhouses in CW globally. On
Saturday, the United States, starting at noon, provided a few minutes of a running opportunity, and
from 21 UTC onwards, the maximum rate reached 140 contacts per hour.

Sunday witnessed significantly fewer contacts, almost half of the previous day, with occasional
propagation glimmers but never matching the excellent conditions experienced in previous instances.
To conclude the narrative, according to Contest Online, we finished third overall, trailing behind
AA3B and N9NC, with whom we fiercely contested the top spots on Saturday. Unfortunately, on Sunday,
due to unfavorable conditions with Europe, catching up became an insurmountable challenge.

Nevertheless, in the SOH(A) CW DX category, we secured the first position—unless an unexpected
entry emerges—inspiring us to continue enhancing our station and operational capabilities!

I extend my gratitude to all operators who participated in this edition of ARRL 10M, and I encourage
you to continue engaging in these captivating events that bring us together around our radios to
celebrate this beautiful hobby of Ham Radio.

73 from Seba LU3MG.

Another excellent event though conditions didn't seem to be as good as I'd hoped.

I was fighting a streaming cold throughout, which didn't help (HI). I also live next door to a four

Conditions down to Europe -- only GW4J and EA1X worked fixed mobile. Noted W1, W2, W3, W4, VE1, VY2,
W6 and western W7 booming in very loud. Like Sweepstakes. High activity. Difficult to hear the DX
through the strong stateside stations. Worked Stan, K5GO at ZF9CW at 1701z. Best DX 6Y6N and ZS6WN
at 1822z. QRV from home, CW with Radio Shack CB whip on Weber BBQ Grill. Worked KL7SB in Alaska at
2242z. Some VE7s and northwest W7 including K7RAT. Then magic. I copied JH7XGN calling CQ. Thought
no way. But came back and worked at 2306z followed by JJØUSR at 2310z. Then one of the best Qs in
the contest -- RTØF -- at 2315z.

The antenna tuner is the LDG RT-100. The conditions on Saturday were pretty good. Propagation was

I was quadruple booked this weekend so I missed many possible
operating hours. We of course had Radio Club on Friday night, so
I got a late start. On Saturday, I was intermittently involved
from 6 am to 6 pm in an EmComm Direct Messaging Group Exercise (
https://groups.io/g/EDM-Target-Stations ). On Sunday, I was
responsible for running sound for both services at church which
takes 5+ hours. Then, of course was the contest. I started out
on CW then switched to phone for a while. After I ran through
the easy stations, I found that my puny signal could not get
through the big pileups, or even small ones for that matter. So,
I switched back to CW where it was easier to make contacts. I
went back and forth a few times to give the brain necessary
breaks, but I ended up with primarily CW contacts. All my
contacts were S&P. When I first got on after Radio Club on
Friday night there was this huge signal on the Flex Waterfall.
Turns out it was Ken K4XL so it was fun to work him as my first
contact. I did not see or hear any of the other members that
were logged in on the PVRC Central VA Team. I have seen that
several others in our group were in the contest, but they must
not have changed their profile since our Teams name changed away
from Yard Hogs. Anyway, the contest was a lot of fun as usual.

On Sunday, I worked a second operation from China Camp State Park (POTA K-1138)
with the mobile station in my Jeep. A cliff overlooking salt water to the north
and east provided great propagation to the US and Canada, but a hill to my south
and west didn't allow much trans-Pacific contact; I didn't even get Hawaii.

QRP, ONE HALF WATT to a 20-Foot end-fed Wire,

Just a part time effort, mixed mode, for the first time. Solar Flux

Friday was a bust, as the band died at sundown. Had some great runs.
N3FJP (Scott's) HamDash app was FUN to use, and kept me motivated to
stay in the chair! Great to work several members of my Grand Mesa Club.

My best ARRL 10m result ever. Strong condx on 10m during the weekend. Lots of TEP too. Was able to
work stations from AK to Chile and Washington State to Poland. But, did anyone else experience a
total signal blackout on stations in the 3rd and 4th US call areas? Heard no stations along the
Eastern Seaboard below NJ or NY or even OH and IN. My location: Atlantic coast of South FL. Station:
KX3/PX3 running 5w to an EFHW set as an Inverted Vee with its center up about30 feet and ends raised
about 10 feet each.

Fiddled around with this one, as I had other activities during the weekend. Domestic conditions were
much improved Sunday. My big 10M array: Moxon, armstrong-rotated, at 15' height. Two 'gripes' about
operations: 1) stations mixing numbers and cut mumbers in the exchange and 2) stations calling 'CQ
test' and ending with 'test' (e.g., test N9NE N9NE test). I've already started calling them at the
end of their callsign. 73 Todd, WI

N9TF
I was able to patch together 9 hours of operating time here and there.
Holiday prep time trumps contesting time! Had fun chasing mults when I
was in the chair. Nice EU opening Sunday morning, as well as Ja's in the
evening. Even had some back scatter prop up north into 8 and 9 land.
Interesting band conditions made from an M5-class solar flare. Fun times
on 10m with all the sunspots high solar flux and crazy flares and storms
on the sun, slamming all kinds of "stuff" at our magnetosphere! Gotta
love it!! 73 Gene, N9TF

Operated Saturday and Sunday, with a late start. I really like
this contest- since I'm a daylight guy. I had some good runs and
that's what is fun! My head got swollen when many stations
complimented me on my big signal and nice sounding transmit
audio. 10M often has interesting propagation and this contest
didn't disapoint, including working ND long path Sunday@1500. No,
I didn't try SO2R with one radio on CW and the other on SSB. Did
you I did work lot's of friends.

According to the weather forecast, frost could form at higher altitudes. My contest QTH in the
mountains is 1000 m above sea level. I made one good decision before the contest. I installed only a
short 3el Yagi antenna on the tower. The weather forecast was right and the 16 mm diameter elements
grew to over 60 mm, so I had to climb the frozen tower to 28 m every two hours and beat the ice off
the antenna. Unfortunately on Sunday during the American pileup this antenna broke. Still, I enjoyed
the contest and look forward to the next one (maybe again from the Atlantic Ocean).

Given the great conditions during the CQWWcw, we had high hopes
for a similar situation during the ARRL 10m contest. This did not
come true unfortunately. Conditions on Saturday were rather poor
due to the much deteriorated solar flux over the last week. In
the morning the opening to the east was not very good and we had
the impression activity was also not fantastic. Many "standard"
countries were not present ... In the afternoon many NA stations
did not bother to work Europe while the band had its meager
opening, and started to work each other for state/prov
multipliers. The band closed early for us, around 15:45 or so.
Sunday was slightly better: signals were a bit louder, quite a
few VKs and DUs in the morning and in the afternoon mid-west USA
station were clearly louder than the day before. So many new
states went into the log. Only most of the W7 states remained
open. Being one of many Dutch stations it was hard to raise a
decent run, so we did a lot of S&P. The band closed a little
later than on Saturday. All in all we had fun but would have
liked to end with a much higher number of QSOs.

W8RU
Had the flu all weekend so this is all I could manage.
Thanks for the QSOs and 73! Ron (W8RU).

W9KEY
Managed to get 3 more contacts than 2022, but 11 more mults, so improved my scorre by 14,000 points.
Wish the band had been better. I was basically closed by 4:30 pm local time each day. EFHW

Awesome to have this contest when the band is doing great!
Thanks to Cycle 25 and all the folks who participated and 73,

TO8M was not recognized. Boy what a close race
between NE9U and myself on Onlinescoarboard.

Band seemed to close up early to EU on both days.
Here I use 3 tribanders on two short towers.
Less rotor distraction.

Once again, I enjoyed operating in this contest, using my Yaesu FT-818ND and ground plane antenna. I
worked only a handful of stations from my QTH with a "half sized" antenna but the results I got were
satisfying. In order to be heard I had to choose stations that were at least S7 or greater. That
limited the total number of contacts but not the enjoyment of operating in an environment where the
odds were against me as far as setting up and operating a Ham Radio Station. 73 Dan

great band conditions on Sunday

WA8Y   [photo/doc]
Friday and Saturday went pretty good, I had a blast. But abdominal pain kicked
in a night and I did get much sleep. I was tried and I made a lot of entry
mistakes (which I had to correct, I just could correct them fast enough for the
callers) and I had trouble copying callsigns. There was QSB (both Fast and Slow at the same time)

I had some good Runs both days but the CW band seemed more crowded on Sunday. I
think the propagation was better on Sunday because I could be heard off the back and side quite
well. For example, while beaming West, 7Q6M in Malawi called.
I heard VY1TT and VY1CO in YT but was unable to break through.

WB2AMU
This year was better than last year. No Sporadic-E activity during
the evening.

WB2KHE
Not as many QSOs as I'd have liked, but 27 more than last year!

All of my SSB contacts (20) were made with the
Realistic HTX-100 at 15 watts output to a ground mounted Hustler 6BTV, It is a thrill to work DX
with this little peanut whistle.

WB8WUA
As usual, I had fun. Unfortunately, I was a bit on the late side
submitting my cab log to the ARRL Contest group, so I can simply hope
that my QSO participants get there proper QSO credit points. Thanks
for this good 10 Meter opportunity, and I plan to participate here
again next year, I was glad that the 10M band was open rather well.

WQ6X
This is a WQ6X FIRST - running the 10-Meter GiG QRP from Ramona California.
Client and ARCA radio club commitments kept me in Alameda Friday and part
of Saturday so I ran Ramona's K3 radio from my Alameda Biofeedback office
using a K3/0-Mini. Upon arrival @W7AYT, the K3/0-Mini was installed just
in time for a two hour OP stint for NX6T finishing Saturday for me.
Sunday morning, the band started to open around 6am and amazingly enough
there was a Greyline opening to EU at 7am (15:00z). When that died I went
back to bed for a couple of hours and then picked up where I left off
around 10am until the GiG ended at 4pm.
Condx. to JA and Oceania where MUCH better on Friday/Saturday than Sunday,
altho a couple of Asian multipliers Sunday afternoon made up for the lack
of QSO volume.
There was LoTs of atmospheric noise all weekend, even tho no solar storms
were (to my knowledge) indicated so the K3-DNR was an absolute necessity.
Running Stereo-CW (see the WQ6X Blogs on that), made CW copy more effective.
Read more about this GiG soon at: http://WQ6X.Blogspot.com

The pile-ups together with poor 10m band conditions at times made it difficult to copy reports.
Also what made copying reports difficult were stations calling on top of the station sending the
report.

ZS2M   [photo/doc]
Conditions were really poor on this side with most signals around S2-S3. Maybe it was just my wire
antenna.
On both days I managed to eventually work most stations I could hear. It
was fun as always!

As atividades no Arrl 10 são uma das melhores no radio amadorismo para nosso grupo .
Ficamos gratos por fazer parte deste evento.
