Friday night only worked 4 TCG stations and station to the south
of me within 30 miles in Alabama. Saturday had a good opening to
EU and Japan. Sunday good opening to EU and Japan. Did not hear
any VK/ZL/PAC expeft for KH6. Missed last hour of contest to
work S21DX Bangladesh on 80m - impacted my final score. Thanks
Asian stations such as DU, JA, YB, etc for hearing and working my

Hadn't planned to participate in this contest but tuned around 10M
after a traffic net on 80M on Sunday evening. Found the band was
pretty full with sigs so I thought, "What the heck" Played for half
an hour and quit after I worked KL7 and KH6 consecutively.

I had a blast with this contest. There were so many stations
on and conditions were very good from my location. Thanks
to everyone who helped put this together and to all the stations
participating this year! Looking forward to the next one!

since i am a homeless amateur radio operator i don't expect to win any contest, i operated in a
beach/park with a portable single antenna set up operation for a day.
it was lots of fun in addition to lots of work to set up a decent dx
antenna at the beach. those of you require beaches on the air "Oneula
Beach Park" credit can used my qso as valid contact since there was no
assisted spotting nor announcements.

I operated the contest remotely from my QTH in Barcelona.
The propagation conditions were good, but during the mornings there was a very considerable echo,
which made it dificult (and even impossible) to copy correctly. I apologice if anyonewas left
without a QSO for this reason
Aditionally, during some hours of the contest I suffered an internet delay of almost a second. This
made remote operation comlicated. Thank you all for your patience

Tradition says that we use this weekend as an excuse to gather for seasonal festivities so our
effort tends to be fairly part-time. We had a late start and early finish on Saturday with very
little in-band working, and didn't run CW anywhere near as much as would be required for a serious
entry. We had more effort on Sunday although conditions didn't seem quite as good - for example, we
didn't make a single QSO to JA on CW when we'd made some on SSB the day before - but we had great
fun and enjoyed a lively band! Thanks for all the QSOs, 73 de EI7M

For different reasons, we were not able to attend FY5KE this year for the ARRL 10m event. Only
Didier FY5FY was on site, others on remote from France.

Of course, without any inband and mult stations, and the usual lag between F and FY (7 000 km away),
it's not the same story, and not the same result ...

Congrats to the top scorers !

This was my first time participating in a ham radio contest, and it was an
exciting experience! I joined the contest part-time, as I couldn't dedicat

I operated in the 10-meter band using an Icom IC-7410 radio, running up to
100 watts, and my antenna was a 3-element Yagi. Despite being a newcomer to
contests, I had great fun making contacts and learning from the experience
.

Nice to have the condx in ARRL10m contest again.
Hoped great condx for a limited antenna & a low power station as we
are at the peak of solar activity, but was not from here in the
northern Japan.
The band opened for about 11hours a day.
Nice to work one AF(EA8) over the long path and one carribean(ZF5).
Hoped to work W1,2,3 & eastern Canada and further than zone15,
but nothing except one K2(NY).
No real good sporadic E but a short while to JA6.
So maybe next year for a real great 10m!
(I guess my old JA record (in 2001) for mixed HP will probably still
survive..)
Anyway thank you for all the QSOs and picking me up & receiving #

The one thing that I really noticed in this contest was the large number of spots with incorrect
call signs posted. Most were usually off by only one or two characters.

K2ZR
I got my K2ZR/4 station up and running the day before the contest started.
Living in an HOA makes me antenna stifled. My K2 ran at 70 watts on 10 meters with my "V" shaped 40
Meter OCF wire which is 15' to 25' off the ground.
With only a few hours ( 4 1/2 hours ) to play I had fun.

K3CCR
K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and
W5MPB did Multi-Op HP in the 2024 ARRL 10 M test. N3UM got all our
CW Qs, W5MPB all our SSB Qs. We hoped to beat our 2023 ARRL 10 M
result, 880 Qs and a score claim of 641,536. Nope; we got 1.07 X
the mults in 2024 but 0.844 X the Q pts, for 0.9 X the score vs
2023. Run Qs were 0.21 X total 2024 CW Qs but 0.41 X 2023 CW Qs,
so 2024 CW Qs 0.8 X '23 Qs. Not clear why; maybe SFI of 165 vs 140
made ops go for far mults vs closer CQs. At start 00-0018Z N3UM
ran for 21 Qs, 69/hr. Few SSB signals; W5MPB got 3 Qs 0027-0035Z.
From 0049 to 0135Z QRT N3UM clicked spots for 11 Qs & ran for 11
Qs, then rate died. All Qs were VE or W/K. AM was better, mostly
EUs. N3UM clicked 1254-1428Z for 80 Qs, 51/hr. W5MPB 1432-1656Z
got 95 Qs, 40/hr. In 3.1 hrs 1254-16Z we got 78 Cty mults, 57% of
our total 136. N3UM got 33 Qs 1658-1756Z, 34/hr. W5MPB 1806-2108Z
got 78 Qs in 3.1 hrs, 26/hr. N3UM 2113-2124Z clicked for 6 Qs & 6
mults, then ran 2127-2217Z for 62 Qs at 75/hr. Then 2218-2254Z he
got 13 Qs + 4 Cty & 6 St/PV mults. W5MPB 2300-2346Z saw few spots;
he got 10 Qs & VK. After a 1-hr BK he got 1 Q at 0046Z. For N3UM,
band ~empty; 2 Qs at 0125 & 0127Z, so QRT. Back 1242-1333Z N3UM
clicked for 32 Qs, 40/hr. Then came his best run; 70 Qs 1343-1430Z
at 89/hr. W5MPB 1440-1600Z got 46 Qs in 80 min at a Sun.-PM 35/hr.
N3UM 1608-1758Z got 53 Qs at 30/hr. Together we got 18 Ctys 14
18Z, mostly EUs. W5MPB 1802-2005Z got 75 Qs at 37/hr + 7 St/Pv
mults, LB out to NV, & 2 ctys. N3UM 2010-2154 got 47 Qs, 27/hr, +
WY & NM. W5MPB 2222-2330Z got 18 Qs + DE, NE, & ZAC. Band empty.

Had not planned to operate at all because of work and other

few stations who would not i.d. for long stretches. The practice
increases the malfeasors rate at the expense of his callers.

This was an extraordinary contest testing for many aspects of amateur radio operating skills as well
as equipment. Logging skill was tested; code of conduct was tested; listening skill to understand
the propagation from my station to intended qso; exercising strick exchange...without added
comments; and make as many qsos as possible within the limits of personal stamina and positive
attitude toward other callers and hunters.

Received my Technician and General in March 2024. I work an ICOM-7300 with a End-Fed Half-Wave
Antenna (Par EndFedz - ALLBANDKW 80-10M). This is mounted in the inverted box orientation 10 meters
high.

For this contest I selected the assisted mode; consequently, I could not get the radio to interface
with the N1MM logger and therefore no assistance.

KF5RRW
For the 2024 10 meter contest I was a casual station operating
portable in my back yard. On the first day I used a 20w radio on my
truck mobile antenna while it was parked/engine running at the house.
On the 2nd day I setup my Xiegu G90 with the 100W amplifier running
off a generator as a test. Not much noise from the generator which was
optimal, the generator does produce noise on the lower bands so it was
a good test. In the morning I decided to make a proper dipole with a
10ft PVC mast, 60ft of coax, I think the random length of coax caused
the dipole SWR to be slightly higher at 1.5. The dipole was tuned for
the lower portion of SSB 28.4, after a while I cut a couple inches off
the ends and got it tuned for the upper portion near 28.6. It worked
well for the entire SSB portion.

I pretty much exclusively chased stations I heard with limited calling
CQ, only about 4 contacts were made by calling out on an open
frequency.

There were LOTS of stations. Some were within 1-2khz of each other
causing some QSB. The band sounded like 11 meters sometimes with all
the stations in the lower portion of SSB. Lots of stations were moving
up in the band to find a clear frequency.

I did not get to work as many DX stations I expected but i heard lots
of them including Japan and Australia and lots of south america.
Toward the end I wanted to get at least one Japan station. Most were
working huge pileups. I found one station JL3VUL/P3 (portable 3) and
the exchange was serial number 000 which was surprising, I listened
until he made another contact and the serial was 001 so im hoping this
was copied correct and counts. (000 is not valid, entered 1000)

I could try and calculate my score but I dont usually do contests
except once or twice per year.
Total 69 contacts, 12 "DX" contacts with serial number.
All for fun and because I "tried" I will submit my logs

Excellent band conditions allowed us to be able to make some contacts, since the
CQ'ers were spread out well above 29 Mhz . Europeans were easily heard on our
6-Element 10 Meter yagi that is stuck beaming NE.However, it was tough getting
through to the Caribbean and the West Coast. Maybe next year we can get our
antenna situation straightened out. Thanks to all that could hear our weak signal.

This contest was quite the experience with excellent conditions
and participation and some technical challenges. With the cold
weather, my neighbor's heat pump was running almost constantly
giving me S9 noise on my best antenna, a horizontal loop. A
while back, I put an EFHW at the back of my lot to see if it was
far enough away to avoid the noise, and that works. However, it
is not as good an antenna, and it sits at the end of about 220 ft
of coax in the woods. There were plenty of stations to work S&P,
but I wanted to run, and with the EFHW, I didn't get many
callers. I tried the loop when the heater was off next door for
a few minutes, and started a nice run. Of course that ended in
about 15 minutes when the heat came back on, and I couldn't hear
my callers. On day two, after having laid in bed thinking about
it, I hooked up the EFHW as a receive antenna. This worked well,
although it seemed like my local noise was still keeping me from
working some callers. At some point, I stopped and hooked up my
160m inverted-L for the receive antenna. It is closer to the
house but it still seemed better than the EFHW. Everything was
going nicely, and I had a nice run until I heard some relay going
nuts in my K3. I had to stop operating and try to figure it out.
After experimenting and consulting the manual, it was apparent
that there wasn't enough isolation between my receive and
transmitting antennas. Switching back to the EFHW helped, but I
had to reduce power from 500 W to 400 W, but that fixed the
problem and still left me in better shape than I started.

KK6IK
Really fun weekend of contesting. I really like the single band focus of this contest. It allows
a simple focus on making contacts without needing to switch bands. Also, it helped me confirm that
my (small) station does, indeed, work well enough to participate! Hope to see everyone again on 10
meters in 2025!

Lots of fun. Conditions were not the best but that's lfe. It
takes a lot of patience being QRP. It's like going to the

go back home and try again later. Sometimes it works. But, it

Excellent conditions, casual operations eight hours Saturday, then

Only negative was around 1730, started having problems with receive,
like a drop out. Then the Amp (ACOM 1000) shut down with an error
message - ARC. Never had that before. Glad amp shut down - appears a
problem with Antenna. So contest over. On Monday amp powered up no problem. Checked inside cables
and connections. All good, then outside possible issue with pl259 and antenna, cleaned up tightened
and swr 1.0. So I lost several hours of operating time.

Loads of fun! Thanks to the many, many fine ops who persisted in
getting their exchange and call across, and my apologies to the
several that I simply couldn't copy! Some signals were right "in
the noise" and nothing I could do to enhance them to a level
where I had a certain exchange. Nice try and thanks!
problem encountered was my laptop...I kept losing the focus due
to my "touchpad" which would cause problems at the worst times!
I'm still trying to figure out how to disable it...
delight it was having a VU2 call me while(st) I was working
Europe on Sunday. THAT's thrilling!!! Also, many thanks for 9H1
and ZB2. Where was LX I never heard one...but why get greedy I
had lots of fun. Thanks again, and 73.

N4IW
This weekends contest was a lot of fun with 10 meters
cooperating nicely. I started out on CW for most of my time on
Saturday and then switched to Phone for about the last hour. On
Sunday, I waited too late in the day to start and missed all
contacts to the East, only hearing stations from the West and
South. I alternated between CW and Phone several times to try to
get more multipliers. It was fun following the action on the
Online Scoreboard and it provided me with motivation to do more.
This year I was able to get 70 more contacts than last year in
about the same amount of BIC time! It looks like we (PVRC) won
the Club Competition which is fun! I have seen others write about
some of the ridiculous Cut Numbers that some stations were using
and I concur. In my view 5NN should be the only Cut Number used.
Cut Numbers have no business being used in Serial Numbers at all!
Several were so bad I did not even log the contact. It will be
interesting to see what propagation will be like during next
years contest. To all my PVRC friends and anyone else who
happens to read this, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

N4RWH
Fun contest. Thanks to those who made this event successful.

N5BF
all contacts on 120 foot dipole, tuned

N5HNY
I had propagation everywhere except the midwest and southern states. Had fun working all you guys.

N5IRA
Thanks for the contest. I counted 63 QSOs, 18 states & prov, 11 DXCC ent.

N5JJ
My favorite contest...Band was generally in good shape but died out just after dark both
nights...Beat my score from last year by over 250,000 points...Still the usual collection of lids on
both CW and SSB. Only using 100 watts I feel makes me a better operator...Real satisfaction of
busting a pileup with 100 watts on one or two calls.

Icom IC-7300, Hustler G-2537, worked from the beach at Galveston State Park

N6AN
I operated from four SOTA summits during the contest. Friday evening and Sunday
were from W6/CT-225 with a half square antenna. Saturday was from
W6/SD-053, SD-181 and SD-186 in the Apple Valley area using a 17' doublet.
The view out the "windows" was spectacular.
KX3 @5 watts, hand sent, logged on a phone app then transcribed, with errors.
Apologies for all the dupes.
Best DX heard was 7Q, but unobtainium.
Oh, to have a bit more gain. One of these days I will build a portable Moxon.
Fantastic to hear both modes humming (hamming) with activity!

N6CQP
POTA operation from US-1196 San Bruno Mountain

N6HI
QRP, ONE HALF WATT to a 20-Foot end-fed Wire,
thrown into a tree out my window. I was only able
to get on for a bit on Saturday, and I was in and out
of the shack, and missed some of the best times.
I decided that, since this was going to be a very
short, part-time activity, it might be fun to just see
how many Countries I could work with a half Watt
on Saturday, whenever I could get in the shack.
Ended up with 10 Qs in 10 Entities, not my best
in the 10m contests, but still fun for a few hours!
Tnx ALL for your patience with my milliwatting,
and the QSOs. Go Arizona Outlaws! -73- John N6HI

N6IET   [photo/doc]
I've been a ham since 1960 when I was 15 in Carlsbad, NM. My Elmer demonstrated his Heathkit DX-100
plate-modulated AM transmitter and HRO-50 receiver and 10/15-meter homebrew quad (on a 20-foot pole
that he reached outside his shack window and turned by hand, which he called his "Armstrong rotor")
by calling CQ and contacting a ham in Boston, MA, about 2500 miles away. We had "armchair" signals
for about half an hour on 10 meters. But alas, I've never worked 10 meters myself since I got my
license - until last Friday evening (0000z). And with this superb Solar Cycle 25, this may be my
last chance to enjoy this band before I become a Silent Key.

I managed to reconfigure my balcony "extended mobile Hustler" antenna to resonate on 10 meters just
for this event, using a 15-meter Hustler resonator which provided two widely-spaced SWR dips,
including one dip 4 MHz wide centered at exactly 28,000 kHz. My 100 watts was heard by most of the
130 stations I called during my six hours of operating.

N6TV
Solar Flux 164 to 172 was much better than last year. Lots of
activity. Operated in single op "distracted" in mixed mode
(unlimited), a first for me in this contest.

N6ZE
No morning EU because shack in out building was too cold operate
from.
Most QSOs from MN & TX
N7WLC in DM04ne was only station worked in western 1/3 of USA
YE9RJM (Indonesia) was a highlight.

First time operating this contest CW and QRP! I was only able to get one the air for a few hours but
I had a blast!

Division record, and thaks to great conditions, and mostly great Operators, I was able to double
last years score.

Had a great time. Bands were open open. Able to work
a lot of stations with 100W and an end-fed wire. Lots
of fun!

Had a great time ! This is my favorite contest.

N9ARX
Member of HDXA Heartland DX Association. Hope to see many
Nebraska and Iowa stations on this year.

N9OK
Easily exceeded my goal of 500 Q's. Had fun doing it. Decent
conditions.

N9TF
Set out for 500 plus Qs and an all time personal best before we start the
sunspot cycle downward! Saturdays conditions to Eu better than Sunday, but
Sunday better to JA. Very strange conditions to west coast both days. Most
westcoast had no issues copying my signal, but some would lose me in QSB and
required repeats. 70 unique DXC, 34 staes with lots of back scatter Qs and
what appeared to be some E's enhancement to NE states mixed in for good measure.
All in all this was my best outing ever on 10m with just a 6BTV ground mounted.
Lets all hope for one or two more years of good prop on 10m beofre O'Sol goes
into hibernation again. 73, Gene N9TF. 100 watts to 6BTV ground mounted.

ARRL 10 m Contest - OE1CIW SO LP CW Only

What a blast to be active with a simple wire vertical dipole OUTSIDE of the roof in addition to my
other indoor dipole antennas! I was active Saturday from 0511 to 1528 utc, Sunday i started 0512 and
closed the log at 1534 utc. Most of the time i was using the new vertical dipole, only few contacts
i did with one of the the indoor wire dipoles but in most cases the vertical gave also the better
receiving signal and i got easier heard too!

Propagation was really great and quite similar to CQWW recently, maybe a little bit better on
Saturday. On Sunday i struggled with very heavy wind especially in the morning until early
afternoon. Two times my DX-Wire mast which i was using temporary collapsed with loud noise and i had
to rebuild it but antenna did an excellent job! Almost everything i heard i could also work and got
in my log!

About 95% of my contacts i did with the simple wire vertical, just few contacts i did with the
indoor wires. By comparison the OUTSIDE vertical was almost every time the winner of course, it was
amazing how smooth the contacts could be done! 10 m band was full of stations and with 100 watts
sometimes not so easy so i decided to do mainly search + pound and not to call CQ. I tried to call
CQ but didn´t have much success.

In the end from stations i heard and was trying to get in my log i was only missing:

VR2GP Hong Kong, 9V1YC Singapore, 5Z4VJ Kenya, DU2W Philippines, 3W9A Vietnam, OH0R Aland Islands,
VP5V Turks & Caicos Islands, KM5G Arizona, ZY5A Brazil, AZ1D Argentina

I started Saturday morning but maybe too late at 0511 but just the big guns i could hear. At first i
heard E7CW, 9A5Y and Braco E7DX with good signals but i only could work E7DX. No other stations
heard at this time so i got my breakfast earlier to be active when the stations will be more active.
At 0614 band opened to UN Kazakhstan, 4X Israel and UA9 Asiatic Russia. Around 0700 utc the first
stations from JA Japan and BY China i could work and the one and only station from DL Germany
DH8BQA.

Now some Europe were available 5B4 Cyprus, EA7 Spain, CS2 Portugal and Africa D4Z Cape Verde. Around
1000 utc more Europe from F France, I Italy OH Finland, SM Sweden and LA Norway. KP4 Puerto Rico and
KP2 US Virgin Islands wkd around 12 noon together with lot of USA and ZF Cayman Islands around 1300
utc. First Canadians worked at 1318 utc and first PY Brazil at 1452 utc. I closed my log Saturday at
1528 because all stations wkd and nothing new.

Sunday morning i get up around 0500 utc similar to Saturday, got new countries TA7 Asiatic Turkey,
4J Azerbaijan and 9N Nepal. Sunday morning i was also able to work 7Q2T from Malawi without any
problems! GI Northern Ireland, UR Ukraine and EI Ireland followed, close to 1200 utc FY5KE French
Guiana was in the log finally! New multipliers followed again by HS Thailand, FR Reunion Island, 9J
Zambia and EU Belarus and lot of USA and Canada. I got Delaware and Nova Scotia this afternoon,
South America started at 1426 with PY Brazil, PJ2 Curacao and ended with LU Argentina at 1534.

Unfortunately nothing heard from VK/ZL but very happy with working all the stations i did! I´m sure
it´s the best ARRL 10 m Contest ever for me, happy to use this vertical dipole to get better
results!

Thanks for every single contact, i had lot of fun !

Wish the contest would a month earlier. The band closes early because of the very short winterdays
at the Northern Hemisphere, making it very difficult to reach the western parts of the USA from
W-Europe for small guns like me.
Despite that, I had a jolly good time.

The contest date should be switched with the ARRL 160m contest date.
Days are getting too short and 10m closes quite early.
Conditions were OK on Saturday but not so good on Sunday. But
the band was open and you could not say that a few years ago ...
It seemed like there were not that many countries active, but
maybe I just did not spend enough time. Had a few nice runs, but
had to S&P quite a bit to catch the goodies. Always fun to
participate. Thanks to all who called me.

Good fun, what time I could work it. Friday I thought to start at
the down-beat of 1600U, our local start time. Delayed, 1/4 wave
mobile antenna issues, then issues with the next day's CBC -
Christmas Bird Count, took up ATUs (Amateur Time Units.) Solved,
the bottom fell out of the band. Saturday was this important
citizen science annual bird count. Extremely high tides, a nasty
weather system passing through with very high winds. Too tired to
work 10 m after that left Sunday. Something killed off some of
the joy, so 2 1/4 hours operating for some really fun time on
the air. Cut it short for an offered walk in nicer weather with
the birds. Thanks all for the contacts and occasional social
exchanges.

patchy for the entire contest. Operated search-and-pounce during

here; heard but unable to work NA as they were beaming EU, but did
work EU and caught South America on the way through for the first
time in years! Thanks to the managers for running the contest,
looking forward to doing it again in 2025.

Good conditions on 10m down here in VK for the contest. My small 10m Moxon and 100 watts was
sufficient to work 130 odd stations around the world which was gratifying. Thanks to all the
stations that dug deep to hear my station here in VK5, near Adelaide.

A part time affair. Condx with lots of absorption on day 2, with
super stations still had quite low signals with lots of repeats.
Still fun.

VO1GO
Very pleased to hear such great conditions from my new qth in NL
. Europe opened before sunrise & lasted with great activity until the the usa opened to give me many
contacts from all over.
Enjoyed the contest so much fun.
Thanks for all the contacts.

I'd like to thank Ed for his hospitality and graciousness for my stay at his great station. First
time operating from outside the USA - it was a lot of fun being DX. Thanks also go to N2BA for
mentoring me thru the ins and out of our stay o Bermuda. 73 de Walt - VP9/K2WK.

VU3SPD
VU Contest Group, I had S7 to S9 band noise on 10mtrs in my QTH,
due to this most of the DX stations I wasn't able to copy them.

I was running a Icom IC7610, Alpha 87A, Mosley Pro67@60, N1MM. Band conditions were not as good
Saturday as Sunday but it was still fun. I am just getting to old to do long contests anymore as bic
time is rough. I wish that I would have a heads up on scoring the xe stations ( my fault). It was
fun and I will be looking forward to next year. I will need to beat my best score in 2014!

W0PSY
unning a TS-590SG, TA-33 at 35’ and the Eleabeast KPA1500.

What a blast! Great condx on Saturday with the band really filling up with a lot of folks coming out
for this contest. Sunday had QSB issues as others have noted. I did work someone on the East coast
on SSB who told me he was running 100mW when he worked me on CW.
Asia was rewarding on Saturday but much less so Sunday. But quite a surprise to have V85NPV call me
in the last few minutes of the contest Sunday.

Thanks to all for the Q's, especially when I was running CW at my unbrisk pace.

Cheers,
Marv W0PSY

Contest operated from my mobile, stationary. Yaesu FT-891 and Tarheel 75 antenna. logged with
N1MM. good time as always. Hong Kong ATNO

W0ZW
Like others have reported, no EU stations heard from here in the southwest. I thought condx could
have benefited from there being a few more sunspots. Let's hope there is a double peak this cycle!

Great contest to show the bands are open. 80 FT G5RV as Inverted Vee, apex 39 ft.

W1VEM
Thought this would be a 20+ hour CW-SSB submittal. But the computer had other ideas based on the
audio problems that eliminated the SSb and resulted in way fewer BIC hours!. Hence, just CW
contacts. Seems that there are some issues to address this coming week, HI.

W6R
This was a Single-OP Ssb Only GiG for W6R by WQ6X.
This was another QRP run from the Ramona hilltop QTH QTH.
The goal was to set a QRP Ssb-only record for SDG section and Southwest
Division. I ran the usual K3/0-Mini to a 3-el Stepp-IR at 50-feet.
I didn't get started as W6R until 21:30z on Saturday.
Saturday Condx were "OK" (not great) and seemed to improve
considerably on Sunday.
If my voice occasionally sounded choppy, blame that on an occasional burbling
(pulsing) of the internet connection. While you may have been loud, the choppy
internet made me ask for repeats - Sorry Charlie.

This was a last minutead-HOC Ssb run from W7AYT's QTH in Concord.
I ran the FT-2000 @5-watts into a 3-el Long John 10-meter Yagi 10mh.
Being the only phone entry, W7AYT should take a 1st-place for EB section.

I can't believe I made about 1200 CW-only contacts, with low power, and just a DIPOLE!!! (10-40
homebrew OCFD, low end up 10 feet, fed like a sloping inverted L, with the top below 50 feet.)
Also, used only solar power and batteries for the entire station the entire time.

Interesting long path to SA in our afternoons but otherwise
nothing special. 100W ERP isn't really enough to run a frequency from
down here on the Far Side, but S&P is OK provided stations listen hard,
such as D4Z right at the end - what a star!
