Comments:
This was my first time in the Rookie Roundup. I went into the contest with no expectations but wanted the opportunity to get on the air. It was indeed a blast. I had so much fun that I operated for all 6 hours without without taking a break.
I would like to thank Bill (W7II) for allowing me to use his station and also my school club, University of Iowa ARC (W0IO) for usage of the call sign so I could have access to all the bands.
Since I just got my ham license in 2023, I plan to participate in future Roundups. By next year I should be able to use my own call :-D
