My students had an awesome time. I am sponsor of the middle and high school clubs
in Vinton, VA. Due to construction, the high school is currently sharing the middle school
station. So my volunteers and I decided that the high school would operate after school 3:30-5 pm
and the Middle school would operate during lunches. The results were interesting. The high school
was able to get more club and school contacts while the middle school got more dx and digital
contacts ... they were only five thousand points different in the out comes.

I had one of my high school operators on 40 meters who racked up the contacts on Thursday and
Friday....He was extremely proud of his 72 contacts in three hours...

Thanks to all our school contacts who made my HIGH Schools the winners ...between the K4WBM and
WB4HS.

Great to hear students operating SCR once again. LASA HS had been remote for the past 1.5 years,
but is now back to in-person, masked learning. Because LASA HS moved to a new campus location over
the summer, all radios and antennas had to be moved, as well. A small, determined group of students
have created a new "Radio Room" and installed a vertical on our school roof. While not optimal, it
has put K5LBJ back 'on the air.' Students operated 4 days and had a good time. I hope your Club is
having fun, too. 73, Ronny (KC5EES) -- Trustee, K5LBJ

We operated with 1 student and one adult Elmer from the students home. Used an ICOM 7300 and a OCF
antenna among the trees. Looking forward to FEB 2022 when we hope to be back in the school shack.

This was one of our bigger events here at the Case Western Reserve University Amateur Radio Club.
We've seen our club grow quite a bit this semester as the relaxation of COVID restrictions has made
it easier to have people visit the shack. A few licensing sessions and hey, presto!--we have twenty
operators taking part in the contest. Not only was the contest fun, but it was a nice warm-up for
our special event station today, W8M, in honor of the Michaelson Morley Experiment which took place
at our university.
