Thanks to all the California stations that answered my CQ's from Ohio all afternoon.

Poor band conditions today!

KN6NAM is experiencing her first HF contest with W6BG as her 
control operator operating from the wonderful NW6P station.

Two members of the Platinum Coast Amateur Radio Society signed up to operate in the RR contest. Both
were licensed this year and had never operated in a Ham contest. Prior to the start of the contest,
both were shown how to log contacts and how they should operate the radio. Both Young adults took to
contesting like they had done it many times before. They stayed on 20 meter for the entire contest
only moving frequency due to QRM. I know they will be back for Field Day in June and will be going
long and strong on the GOTA Station.

Bands didn't seem too favorable but really opened up right after the contest closed. It was a lot of
fun and a good way to help get rid of some of the mic fright. I'm already looking for my next
contest to participate in.

Tough band conditions, but had a good time!
