I operated remotely from K1TTTs station, big thanks to him!

Thanks to everyone in California for putting up with this Washington state Rookie during the
roundup. It does appear that the conditions just aimed all my CQs to you on 20 meters. Honestly, I
tried 15 meters too during that last two hours in hopes of getting a multiplier. Nothing heard...
Such is the way of these things.
73s to all.

LOTS of QRM but what a great learning experience for my first HF contacts and first contest.

Thanks for the QSO's. Fun afternoon!

This was my first time in the Rookie Roundup. I went into the contest with no expectations but
wanted the opportunity to get on the air. It was indeed a blast. I had so much fun that I operated
for all 6 hours without without taking a break.

I would like to thank Bill (W7II) for allowing me to use his station and also my school club,
University of Iowa ARC (W0IO) for usage of the call sign so I could have access to all the bands.

Since I just got my ham license in 2023, I plan to participate in future Roundups. By next year I
should be able to use my own call :-D

See you all next year

I had a blast; the 6 hours went by so fast. This was my first contest and I can't wait until summer
field day. All my contacts were awesome! I cant believe the number of contacts I made just running
100 watts with a temporary EFHW 40 meter antenna. Thanks ARRL and to the people that have helped and
mentored me along the way.
